Last weekend Serge's Dutch student Jolanda Westelaken (19) has had a competition with her mare Wavanya in Hulten (The Netherlands). The pair competed at M (middle) level and came second and fifth. One week earlier the two won a Dutch show in Prinsenbeek.
Jolanda: 'Serge teaches me for over a year now. I had to work on the basic a lot and now we can focus on the exercises a bit more. My horse is eight years old now and bred by Painted Black. I have her since she was born. My goal is to qualify for the Dutch regional championships this year. At the end of the year I would like to go to M2 level when we are ready for it.'
